Debra Carlton, MD Inducted into YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers
The YWCA of Greater Atlanta inducted TSPMG's Debra Carlton, MD into its Academy of Women Achievers, in recognition of her professional accomplishments and her commitment to the health and safety of women and girls.
“Dr. Carlton has been a leader at Kaiser Permanente of Georgia for almost three decades. With a track record of excellence in both her medical and administrative roles, she embodies Kaiser Permanente’s dedication to improving the health of Atlanta area communities,” said Sharmen May Gowens, CEO of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta.
Dr. Carlton is the TSPMG Associate Medical Director of Care and Service Experience in the Georgia Region. She received the award at the organization's annual luncheon on Thursday, April 19.
Besides Dr. Carlton, the YWCA of Greater Atlanta inducted nine distinguished Atlanta leaders into its Academy of Women Achievers. These women are leading the charge and changing the course for women and girls, and align with one of the organization’s three focus areas: Education & Empowerment, Health & Safety, and Advocacy & Social justice.
Others inducted into the Academy this year include: Beth Holder, Chair of the Agnes Scott College Board of Trustees; Erika James, Dean of the Goizueta Business School, Emory University; and Bea Perez, SVP, Chief Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Officer, The Coca-Cola Company.
