TSPMG HR Changes – Pilcher Promoted to Vice President TSPMG Administrative Services; Ray Named Director of Human Resources

Angela Pilcher
Sharon Ray

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group is pleased to announce that Angela Pilcher, currently Director, Human Resources, Recruitment and Retention, has been promoted to Vice President, TSPMG Administrative Services, effective December 21. She will fill the role currently held by Henrietta King, who is retiring on December 19 after more than 15 years of service to our medical group.

Since joining TSPMG in 2000, Angela has made a number of significant contributions to improve the efficiency, accuracy and professionalism of our various human resources, payroll and benefit administration functions. In recent years, she led the redesign of benefit changes in response to Health Care Reform while always considering the importance of a competitive benefit plan for TSPMG. She implemented the Wellness option to our benefit plan two years ago as a hallmark incentive for our TSPMG Wellness Program. She also led her team in the implementation of our excellent Shared Success program for clinicians and First Year Experience for administrative staff.

In her new role, Angela will maintain executive oversight of the current functions of the Human Resources department. She will also have executive leadership responsibility for the departments of Physician Compensation, Statistics and Procedural Coding, Communications & Marketing, Professional Development and CME, as well as the administrative staff of the Palliative Care/Geriatrics department.

As part of this change, Sharon Ray has been named Director of TSPMG Human Resources. She will assume many of the responsibilities and reporting relationships previously handled by Angela.

Sharon joined TSPMG in 2012 to manage our Benefits, HRIS and Payroll functions. She has made significant enhancements to the quality, service and administration of these areas, including new vendor relationships for our Flexible Spending Accounts and Supplemental Behavioral Health benefit. She also led several process improvement efforts with her team to ensure ongoing efficiencies in the payroll, compensation, benefits and HR data functions. Sharon is a collaborative leader and has worked with key sponsors to enhance training for new leaders who work both in clinical and administrative areas. In her new role, she will also have oversight of recruitment and retention, HR policy and employee relations. Prior to joining TSPMG, Sharon held progressively responsible positions with Atlanta-area companies including Coca-Cola, Georgia Tech and CHOA.

Please join us in congratulating Angela and Sharon on their new roles.
